Google Delivers Ad-Supported Video Clips

Web publishers will now be able to make money by participating in Google’s AdSense ad distribution network offering up ad-supported video clips from YouTube. Good idea? Bad idea? I’m not sure people want to sit through 30 second NetFlix ads just so they can watch a 9 second clip of some skateboarder racking his nads on handrail.

For advertisers, the program opens their video-based ads for distribution across the AdSense network, instead of being limited to the YouTube site. Meanwhile, video producers get a chance to generate revenue from their clips. The video clips will be delivered within “a customized, embedded player that’s ad supported,” Google announced on Tuesday.

maybe they should put the ads only on the truely horrible, obnoxious youtube content like lisa nova and chris crocker or whatever the hell their names are, anything to stop that annoyingness
