Google Defends Tax-Accounting Practices

According to News.com, Google has said that the Securities and Exchange Commission has called into question how the company accounts for income tax.

"We believe that we properly account for our income taxes. We will continue to work to resolve these comments with the SEC," the Web search leader said in the annual filing.
