It appears that merchants are attempting to give people more incentive to use Google Checkout by giving them some extra deals for simply using it.

Steven Grossberg, who sells video games online from his home in Wellington, Fla., recently sent an enticing offer to 20,000 customers: $10 off any purchase over $30 using a new payment service, Google Checkout.

i think it works, ive bought a crapload of stuff just because of the $20 off $50..
 
I'm all for giving paypal some competition. They charge for every little thing. I can't wait until this can be used with Ebay.

It's up to the seller what they accept. Ebay doesn't own money orders or personal checks but you can still use them...

Yeah but ebay bans your account if you use google checkout.

Google Checkout and Buy.com are the devil. $20 off $50 made me spend $700 there over the last two months. :eek:
 
I've always used buy.com since it first came out.. this google checkout thing is awesome now. :D $20 off a $50 purchase is sweet. I snagged a logitech g5, some 5.1 USB headphones, and a bunch of other stuff. Schwing. I hope they keep this google checkout thing going.
