Google Buzz Bites the Dust

Google’s entry into the social network world à la Twitter is shutting down. Google has buzzted Google Buzz and will shut it down within the next several weeks. The service stumbled early on after the launch and was never able to regain traction.

Even if Google Buzz hadn't botched privacy, it still probably would've failed. The service did little to differentiate from Facebook or Twitter, and users quickly lost interest.

google people use your search engine, browser, email and somewhat your docs/calander stop just making clones of other websites and trying to encroach on their territory, just freaking come up with your own idea for once and be the 1st not the done knock off no one uses because when it comes to change people don't move from popular to new product unless you have something new and special to offer if you're just offering a similar product people will not move because that's not where everyone is at.

The thing about Google is they have so much money/capital that they can try tons of different things to see what catches on and what doesn't. A failure like Buzz may be the end of a small company, but Google can easily absorb any losses.

Apple/Microsoft don't come up with very many of their "own ideas" either. This business is all about copying what others have done (or buying them outright) and trying to improve on it.

I agree, Google+ is a bad attempt to take over Facebook's market. But if not Google, than who!?!
