im looking for a good and cheap wireless network adapter for my new desktop
any suggestions?

I just recently replaced my Ralink RT2500 ($17.00 new), with a tranzeo CP-200 for my long distance WAN connection. The Ralink card was about as much as I could have expected out of a 30mW 54g card. I usually dont buy cheap 'maiden of china' computer hardware, but I think the ralink was a good exception. It wasnt merley a "you got what you paid for", but it did its job and I didnt have any complains.

My brother is using some kind of new belkin 54g wifi card, its interface is for noobs and is a total pain in the ass.

For your average internet surfing/gaming, you dont need to go out and buy a $259.00 radio like I did.

Where can you buy one at? I couldn't find any places on google.

Right here

Or if your looking for a tranzeo AP.

I like them, but I wouldnt use them for things other than long distance links between your office and home, or possibly between two houses miles away. By the time you buy an AP and a bridge, its $600.00 plus shipping . Its definatley money well spent, Im not aware of what other options there are on this level. Those units are weather-proof, dummy-proof, and have a fair amount of range.
