Hey everyone im a first time oc'er and im building a new rig. i wanna use a watercooling kit. my buget is $200 and for all you bent on sheding light to noobies im not looking for a lexure on how or why i should use beefy air cooling or make my own watercooling system. time is kind of a constraint and im trying to find somting that doesnt take any 5 1/4 bays and will be all internal. id appreacieate any help (performance is a farily large issue. i just wanna know if you know of any good kits.)

Well I'm not a water-cooler, but you have to have SOMETHING in a 5 and 1/4 bay or the very top of the case (which would require modding)....you need a radiator to cool off the water that's cooling your components. Without it, well, it's useless. So any dreams of not using a bay like that, you can forget ;) Besides, 4 bays is more than enough to find a slot for watercooling.

swiftech kits are cheap...go with an older one with the fill and bleed kit because there cheaper..and the fill and bleed kit can just be tucked up at the top of the case, instead of in a drive bay

Somehow the words "watercooling" and "cheap" seem like 2 words that should never be used together. Ever. Cheap components controlling water around a $2000 tower? I'm shaking my head just thinking about it.

home made watercooling kits can be made for around or less than $100...and they are often of better quality(usefulness wise..not asthetic(sp??) wise.

so yes...."watercooling" and "cheap" can be used in the same sentence...

I to am looking for a GOOD water kit. Seems that almost all are 12v pumps.
Matter of fact this kit is now up to rev 3....pump was overloading a LOT of powersupplies.

here is a read on the rev3 http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/super_cooling/swiftech/h20-120-64/

I still don't understand why they use 12v pumps..hell look at the externals, like the exos
they have EVERYTHING external but the block and use the ps to run it....WTF,,, is that stupid or what.

When i say cheap i mean affordable i was looking at this one: http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=9375 but it says it takes up a 5 1/4 drive bay. my case has 4 but 2 are used by my dvd drives while one is occupied by my fan controller and the last by my all in one media reader ( http://xoxide.com/aerocool-coolpanel-21-black.html ). as for cheap componants around a $2000 machine i know what your saying i think you just misunderstood me.
you really don't have to use the fill bleed kit that comes with that swiffy pack, it's just a side option to using a res. truthfully if you don't want to take up a bay you can just use a T line and a little extra tube to fill the system.

kinda like this:

that image has the DD fillport thingy attached to it, but really all you need is just something to plug the end of the tube. hell, i've seen someone use a cork.

the t shape thing is kind of intresting. i am however an uber noob with watercooling and have absolutely no experiance with watercooling. heck the closest thing ive messed with to watercooling is my fishtank  . the building your own watercooling thing again i have no experiance and i have a time constraint of about a month. i have no faith that id get it rite the first time so thats out of the question lol unless someone could gimme a reccomendation of stuff to use oh and remember the $200 buget a little over is ok but not too much.

if your a complete newb then the T fitting is actually very good for you...
it is VERY easy to use and setup

as far as a kit is concerned.. i wouldnt recomend any of the ones on the markent.... now would i recoment building your own if it's your first time...

what i WOULd do is buy the parts individualy...
and the parts that i would get if i were you are simply any 80mm rad (45$), swiftechs 6000series cpu block(50$) 4 or 5 feet of good tubing (6$) a T-addaptor (1.50$) and the Eihen 1048 pump (55$)... as it is the quietest pump i have ever seen and is suprizingly powerfull .. also i believe you can plug it into 120 volts and not your power supply...

that adds up to about 158$ and some kick ass temperatures....
very easy to set up also

That sounds pretty good. i could probabily wip that out and worst comes to worst ill test it outside my case so there shouldnt be any danger of harming my parts.

Don't get an 80mm rad. That's a bad idea, from what I have read it will not cool hot components effectively even if you run fans so fast that the silence of the Eheim pump is totally overwhelmed. You can get a modded heatercore and shroud from Weapon that accepts two 120mm fans for $65.

Look here if you want, that would be a lot better.
