Good SSD(s) for VM datastore?

So my VMbox is built, I just need to pick up an SSD (or two) for my local VM datastore. I won't be doing a lot of reading and writing to this datastore as I have a FreeNAS storage server where all my storage is kept. I just need some decently fast SSD's for the ability to bring up VM's quickly. Budget is roughly $300.
 
for consumer drives: Samsung 840 PRO or PNY Prevail ELITE
I use these for my virtualized SQL database environments
 
Do you think I really need the Pro when I'm not running any database VM's and all my storage is kept elsewhere?

I would pick Corsair Neutron GTX, much better steady state performance when TRIM is not available, and it's almost as fast as 840 Pro.

This Samsung is a highly regarded SSD. I run one in my laptop and am very pleased with it.
