Well I bought an Abit AV8 board, that hard ocp said was good for overclocking. Guess they were wrong. This thing hardly overclocks, its never stable when I oc it, no matter how much voltage I give it. Anways I was wondering if there is a board out there for the 939's that are good for OCing. Thanks.

Is the MSI board usually pretty good for overclocking? Cuase I keep seeing things for all the socket 939 boards that some are good for overclock and some arent. Like some K8n Neo2's are good and some arent, that you just get lucky or something.

For some reason I dont think your going to get what you want out of any board if you cant get it out of this one.

Could be a couple things. My AV8 runs happily at 300MHz FSB (though I have the northbridge over-volted and watercooled).

Is your RAM clocked too high maybe? Try turning your RAM ratio down.

you're not guaranteed a certain amount of MHz...plus you have to factor in cooling, RAM, and PSU.

Yea, DFI has a board for 939s. But what I dont get is when I oc my FSB to 300, my vid card has to do a VPU recovery in windows. It will even do that sometimes at 250fsb. Do you think thats the lock not working correctly? Anyways I have the OCZ EL Platinum Rev 2 ram. I put it only to like 250FSB (its what its rated for) and I dont get any ram errors, just my comp wont pass prime for even like 20 mins.
