Well ladys and gentelmen, I just finished ordering All the parts I need to make my computer. Now Im gonna do some looking around for watercooling parts. I need the classic list (radiator etc...) The pump im gonna get from petsmart But Im just wondering whats a good quality (but not overly expensive) waterblock for:

AMD-A64 Socket 939

EVGA Geforce 6600GT

Thanks!

well lets see, for around 50$ you can get either a swiftech 6000/2 or a DD TDX. Depending on your pump one or the other will perform better.

For the gpu waterblock, you cant go wrong with the Silverprop Fusion, perhaps also an mcw-50.

Oh yeah, also gemini on this forum made a post about trying to get rid of his old stock of waterblocks. If you are looking for something on the cheap, he is selling all of his stock at really low prices, and has said he will donate all sales to a tsunami relief fund.

Would advise against the Swiftech for now.

The 6002 I purchased back in December developed a severe leak at the juncture of the jacket and base plate. I managed to catch it in time, but I almost lost a Neo2 Plat, a 9800 non-pro and a RAID controller card.

I see this as a design flaw related issue. Gabe & co. have to fix these things before I buy another Swiftech product.

kunsunoke : You are the first person I have ever heard of who has had a problem like that with the swiftech block. The two pieces are brazed together, essentially making the block one whole piece of metal, which is actually a very good design for minimizing leaks. I am very surprised at what happened with your block, and will tell you it is probably the exception rather than the rule. The swiftech 6000/2 is a very good and reliable block.

I've been using the Swiftech 6002A on my XP system from when they first came out without any problems. They are one of the better blocks out right now, and for the price, they can't be beat................ :D

i know this thread is old and I have just made a new thread about my block, but mine had the same damn problem except I think I just lost my NEO4 SLI
