I read thru the FAQ and couldnt find a site that is good for beginners in case modding


I was wondering if anyone new of a good site i could learn about modding and such


oh, and if it is in the FAQ and i missed it im sorry for being an uber-nub

If you go to the various sites in the FAQ, like bit tech, twisted mods and others you will find guides that help you understand how to do various mods.

If you read alot of these the whole process will become clearer and you will also figure out what kind of mod you will be comfortable doing on your first few times.

Heck I check them out all the time just for ideas on what to mod next or what kind of mod to do next.
 
I'm currently writing a "how to build your own custom case" thing.......it wont be done for a few weeks but it might help somewhat.

How can you really make a "Beginner's" tutorial for something like case modding? Really, not all beginners want to do the same thing. There are plenty of tutorials for painting, window cutting and installation, blowhole cutting, and most of the other standard beginner type mods...really, what more are you looking for?
 
Just read the forums, you will get a good idea of the process. That's how I started, just reading threads and looking at peoples' work.

I found the site that I first read...even before I read anything on the [H] (shush...don't tell anyone that ;) ). It has some really good articles and beginner info and it doesn't 'talk' down to noobies either.

hold up, i really hope you dont mean like ccfl, god kills a kitten everytime sombody calls that a mod, think of the kittens. anything u can buy in a store and just plug in does not qualify as a mod no matter what BB and Circut city tell you, remember mod=modification

As for sKum here... these forums aren't the greatest for beginners nowadays. There's too a great a disparity between uber-noobs and the great people who post here like mashie, crimson, qtip, etc., and not much in between. Bit-Tech, Twisted Mods are good as well.
 
Wow, how times have changed. When "lightly" modding a case includes a window. Now, cutting out stock fan grills is something everyone does when they get a case?

No beef, just an observation.

I found most of my first glimpses into modding with the all mighty google.
