I built this computer and i would like to know what u think of it.

Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939
512 mb Pc2700
Western Digitail 80 GB 7,200 rpm
Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit
Abit AV8 UGuru K8T800 Pro
Sapphire X800 XT Platinum Edition 520/1120

Firstly every thing is pretty good except for the HDD and Rams, instead of 512mb pc2700, get a PC3200 1gb ddr and for the hard drive i personally woundn't go with Western Digital, Go with Seagate Sata 120gb 7200RPM, way better quality.

The reason i'm not using very good ram or a hard drvie is because i got and old computer built before and all i updated was the processor, vidoe card, and sound card and i just took the old parts out and used those for now. So the main thing i should look at buying is memory and hard drives. ok. What are good hard drives and memory? That aren't to expensive.

Hmm i woudl say corsair value select rams are pretty good and is not too expensive, wll for the HDD Seagate Sata 120GB Barracuda 7200RPM 8MB cache is pretty cheap. Just gotta ship around dude.

You're system is fine...just idk why people spend extra money on the oc'ed ATI's..you can get a nice x800xl for cheap..I recommend upgrading you're RAM to 1gb..personally I don't think upgrading to pc3200 512 would make a difference. I have the exact same HD as you, i wish i didnt..I ordered a Seagate but it was'nt compatible so I got stuck with the grinder..definite upgrade.

pffft
get a couple 120gb 7200rpm satas on raid0, its not that expensive
or go all out and raid0 some raptors :)
