We currently work in a small office, and we have an ASUS Dark Knight

Our 5GHZ is great. However, our 2.4ghz is hit with interference from everywhere in the office. There's a room where the 2.4ghz has no signal, and I'd like to boost that with a repeater.

Ideally, I want the SSID to remain the same (ie. no SSID2.4ghz_ext), but to remain as SSID2.ghz.

Is there one that you guys would recommend that's relatively strong? I've tried moving the router to make it a little better, and that helped, but I'd still like to purchase another repeater to boost the signal? Any thoughts / recommendations?

EDIT: Killing this after Mackintire's description of repeaters. Going to buy a new router completely

"Good" and "wireless repeater" are often to terms that are at odds with each other.

Your situation might be akin to being in a room full of people loudly talking and asking someone halfway across the room to repeat what you just said from one side.

In other words, the solution you are asking for may cause more issues than you have in your current situation.

So in order to not offer you bad advice you'll need to do some work.

Download the wifi analytics tool here: http://www.ampedwireless.com/wifianalytics/
and install it onto your laptop.

Start walking around your office....

Take some screen captures of the wireless spectrum on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. So we can see what networks are interfering with yours, and how badly.

We will need to see multiple examples of each.

Show us a good spot in your office, show us a couple bad spots. We will need to see both the graphs of all the networks and the link score.

Make sure you tell us what network(s) are yours.
