Good, relatively inexpensive wireless mouse?

I was thinking about getting a wireless mouse. I do need it to game, but I'm not a hardcore CS or UT2k4 player or anything. I play some pick up games of UT now and again, but I mostly play RPG games. Right now I'm playing (almost exclusively) WoW, so uber-response time is not high on the list. I looked at the MX1000, but I'm just don't think I'm willing to shell out $70 for a freakin mouse. Anyone have any good recommendations for good response mice? Distance is no issure, either; mouse will be about 2-3 ft from the computer.
 
I believe that newegg has the mx700 combo with a wireless keyboard for 63$. They probably have the mx700 for sale for a bit cheaper, but it's quite a good deal when you get the nice keyboard along with it.
 
Looks like the mx700 is $57 nad the mx1000 is $62 on newegg... if it's just a $5 difference, I'll go for the better one :rolleyes:

But damn, I didn't realize that mice (GOOD mice) would be that spendy. Hmmm... I will have to mull it over. Thanks for the input, everyone
 
i got the microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse for $50 and though i spent way too much, i never had a problem with it though.. maybe across the room at 12+ feet i have problems, or when the reciever is right under a monitor, but that's it.. i don't see the need to spend $50 on a mouse either, maybe if i played games i would know.. but really.. i use $5 shitty ball mice all the time and most of them are fine, some get full of crap and start to act wierd and i hate that..

what was your original budget? before people started telling you to get $60 mice?

i would say that any optical mouse would be fine, but i had an HP optical mouse that i got for $5 and after a year it started doing some wierd jumpy thing.. the cursor would kinda vibrate when i wasn't even touching the mouse..
but my mom has a really shitty optical mouse.. they sell them at office max..it feels like crap and weighs nothing, but it works perfectly well..

so moral of the story.. if you don't really have a reason to get a $70 mouse, then get a $20 logitech.. microsoft.. i don't know if there are any other real brands that make many mice.. but get one.. it should be fine..

but if you are going wireless.. you might as well get a keyboard too.. just cause you can..
 
Just get a mx700 they aren't that exspensive. You get what you pay for you pay more you get better quality.
