Good pair of 2.0 or 2.1 cheap, but not too cheap speakers?

As per the title, a relative is asking for what would be a good pair of cheap but not too cheap (I really love that statement :rolleyes: ) 2.0 or 2.1 speakers. This would be used mostly for skype and watching youtube type crap, etc.

I told them to get a headset but they don't want to use one, and since I only use headphones, I haven't kept track on what's decent but on the cheaper side, around ~$30.

It is kinda strange the price though, I think I paid about $40, nowhere near the price there. The two satellite speakers have a definite sweet spot and the sound doesn't extend too far, thats good and bad... and the subwoofer sounds great, a lot of bass without being loud. No complaints from the neighbors yet. Probably the closest thing logitech sells now might be like this:

Those look pretty decent, the satellites don't look too bad. I am really happy with the logitech speakers I have. Hope that helps.
