powmax is not on the most wanted psu list

try to stick with one of the following brands for solid performance and reliability

Antec True series
Fortron
Sparkle

go to newegg.com and have a look at their quality
 
all power supplys work and for your first pc they should all work for a long time try to get one with 2 fans and 450 to 550 watts
 
There's another thread on this on the front page, within a few lines of this one. :(

Don't buy Powmax. Get Zalman or Fortron or Channel Well or Antec or something good like that.
