Good nVidia card under $250?

That's pretty much 128mb 5900 territory.

As to whether or not it's "good," well that depends on which fanboys you listen to...

BFG 5900NU for $184. I just got one. They are pretty damn nice (especially for price).
 
Nvidia XTs are the opposite of Ati, really sad marketing. They are slower than the 5900nu, since you have a budget of $250 and after a nvidia card get the BFG 5900nu, comes with fast mem and overclocks well.

Gainward 5900nu $230

My brother-in-law got this card, and we put it through the tests. It gets to 5950 speeds (475/950) easily, and actually up to 540/1000 stable in Battle Field 1942.

Other than that, a BFG Asylum 5900nu is a kick ass card, also able to go to a 5950's speed. My BFG sits at 505/955, and is a very well made card (includes a true lifetime warranty).
 
But you could buy 5-6 of them for $250. Maybe more if you can get them in bulk...
