I haven't payed much attention to GPUs for quite some time and am looking to upgrade a machine I have. What would be the best card to get around the 200 dollar range? I don't want to go higher than 225 dollars. The computer will be used for games like Starcraft 2, Battlefield, etc... at 1080p

Are you looking at a brand new or used card?

For 1920x1080, I think a used 1070 would be the way to go, although it may exceed the $225 budget slightly. The 1060 card is mainly promoted as the 1080p card and those can be gotten for $200 or less used. However, I recommend the 1070 even if it costs a little more.

I have a GTX 1060 6Gb for 1080p but you'll want something with extra power for newer games, I recommend a 1070 as well.

1060 or the AMD 580 8GB would be more than enough to run the games you want at 1080p. Both can be had for around $200 new if you look around.

Good luck!
