I am on a budget of somewhere around $100 or a tad bit more and I am tempted to upgrade my old radeon pci (gulp) Would the 9600NP be recommended? How does it perform in comparison to a 9600pro and 9600xt? The difference is basically just core/mem speed so the percentage gain won't be that extreme will it? Yea I kind of want to be in both worlds but I don't have the money. Oh yeah, one more thing. If you have used a connect3d 9600, can you tell me your thoughts about it? Thank you very much.

A 9600 np would be fine and would be the best bet in your price range.

The best in your price range if you can find it would be a powercolor 9600Pro EZ.As i used one of these cards for a while and it pulled 2800 in 3dmark03 at default which isnt half bad for a budget card and its definatly faster than the non pro and the 5600FX range;)

you wer getting some radeon 9500 np also for that range, you could unlock those to work at 9500 pro speeds. I dont think you get the red pcbs anymore, but i hear that it is pretty easy to convert them to 9500 pros...
