I'm looking for a decent LCD ~22" that has good color reproduction & performance for gaming. Any suggestions?
 
all 22" lcds are based on the TN panel which isnt the greatest for colour reproduction... its not horrible but its not great either. they usually have great response time which is good for gaming. my Dell E228WFP was just over $300 shipped and i'm very happy it
 
Technically, you can't get good color reproduction with a 22" panel because they're all TN's that use dithering and have color shifting due to poor verticle viewing angles. They aren't that bad though, just not as good with color as the other panel technologies.

I don't really want to jump up to the $500-$600 price range for budget. Is there a particular size that IS better for color reproduction than the 22"? Thanks again.

From your posts, it sounds like you are interested in the widescreen lcd. As others have said, all the 22" widescreens are the budget/cheaper versions. I would believe that they will come out with better/more expensive versions. If you are looking for a widescreen, go with the dell 20" for ~$350 range. If you feel that is too small then go 24", there are several good lcd out for the 24" widescreens. dell/LG/nec. For me the 20" widescreen was to small resolution and the 24" was too big/too expensive. So, I decided to stay with the 4:3 20". So, I went with the Dell 2007fp. ~$400. It fit my quality standards, options, budget range and it is perfect size for me. Honestly, the dell lottery sucks, but they do have very competitive prices for the quality.
