Good LCD for under $300

I am trying to pick out a new LCD monitor to replace my old CRT for under $300. I'm a college student on a budget so I need a good price but also looking for something that won't have bad image quality on games. I have heard the Dell's are good but I don't know enough about monitors to know if this is true. Please Help!!
