does a good inexpensive gaming LCD exist? my current samsung 955df decided that it would lock itself into a 60hz refresh rate no matter what resolution/refresh rate i seleft. i can tolerate it for a while, but it sucks. i would like a 17" if possible, if not please give me some recomendations (and i will prolly have to order from newegg since there aren't a lot of computer stores in my area).

As you havn't listed it...what is your budget? That would help with the recommend ;)

sorry, sadly i can spend around a max of $200 (i know that basically elimiates a 17"). if i have to i will get a flat crt again, i'd just like somethign lighter when i have to move it.

should also mention that i will get one off of ebay instead of newegg if i can save a lot. (it might happen).

Here is an excellent deal on a Samsung...http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=24-001-171&DEPA=0

$195...but it's $245 out of pocket...$50 MIR...great LCD if you can wait for the rebate.

if not, this one isn't bad...

Never heard of the brand...but it's $195 shipped. 450:1 contrast and 16ms response...should be good for gaming.

i looked at the second one, the fact that i have never heard of the brand kinda scared me. the owner of one of the other forums i visit has a 710n and loves it. i will have to see how big my pay check on tuesday is.

also, how bad are the dell e173fp lcds? i see lots of them on ebay for decent prices.
