Good ideas for RAMDISK usage?

Hey. I just set up a 256mb RAMDISK on my RAM. I can make it 512mb if need be with no problem. So, I'm wondering what are some things that I can put in there or use it for?

I don't have any games small enough to fit. I tried photoshop, but there wasn't very much of an increase in performance over my 7.2k drive. I also tried setting my temporary internet files directory in there too, but I didn't notice any performance gain doing that either.

LOL, I ran HD Tach and got 1024MB/S average read speed on my RAM DISK Drive. I didn't check write speed, but I'm sure it's not too far behind. :D Hey, shouldn't my speed be at 2700 though?

So what kind of cool programs can I use this incredibly fast but small drive for? I can't think of anything else. Anybody have any cool ideas? Help me put it to good use. :D

Your page file
lol are you serious or are you just kidding? because i was thinking about doing that actually, but i have my kernal to swap usage disabled, so my stuff is always in my ram anyway. i have a swapfile monitor and it never goes above 3% usage. what do you think?

I'd put small things in there... like your web browser, MBM, etc.

If only windows (ntfs) did symbolic links....... ahhh.

ahhh, you think it's possible to put internet explorer in there? that wouldn't be a bad idea actually. im not so sure how i could effectively do that though since it's so integrated with windows. i don't want to use a different browser either.

hey what's MBM?
