Good fan for radiator?

Hello everyone.

I just finished installing my water cooling (runs great!), but I have a problem with the fan.

I bought a Panaflow 120mm, hearing that it has the best air movement out there, but the thing is damn noisy! I'm running it at 50% right now (which seems a good volume), but I'm afraid when I switch over to my Opteron and overclock it, I'll be generating even more heat. My CPU's hovering around ~39 idle right now with the fan at 50%. Though I don't sleep in this room or anything, I like the computer to run at least SOMEWHAT quitely when I'm just browsing the internet and such.

My question is, does anyone know of any other good air movement fans (around the Panaflow or a bit less than it at around 80-90%), 120mm, that DON'T sound like a jet at takeoff?

Thanks for any advice!

P.S. Are there any programs like ATiTool for fans, that can say set profiles, auto-load fan speeds, etc.? I'm using SpeedFan right now, but I was also wondering if there's anything better.

wondering the same thing. Thinking about the yate loons. I need quietness and performance (really quiet)

"CFM: 47"

...

Not worth it. Panaflows are ~120-ish. I'm in need of performance, but a good volume too.

2 of those fans at 7v should push 50 CFM... And I can hear my pump over the fans... all 4 of them. Plus 2 extra intakes (also at 7v).

Anyways OP, what are your components? Radiator?

And LOL at the SilenX comment.

Rad: BIP (single 120mm)
Pump: Swiftech MCP355
Block: Swiftech Storm

Basically, I can only do one fan at 12 volts.

My proc right now is in my sig, but I'm upgrading it to an Opty 170 that can pull at least 3.0 (2.95 on air, from the seller), so I'm thinking that's going to provide even more heat.

just what i wanted to hear.

In addition to the fans, do you think as5 is worth the pickup over ceramique? Im looking for like 3c or more drop in my 43c load temps (pretty much no airflow in my case btw)

also, from this pic you can tell that the fan behind the radbox wont be able to be removed unless i take off the rad which is a giant pain in the ass. If i take off the bottom one and put the yate loons sucking in air to the rad, would it matter if the other fan is still there maybe blocking the air alittle?

Thanks.

Technically you can do 2 if you do a push pull, Nice system btw, *almost* as good as mine will be

someone has to know

Just get the Yate Loons. They fare really well with low cfm radiators. Most people use them on their rads. Besides, at least their honest about their ratings, I know a lot of manufactuers including Arctic Cooling's 120mm fan that rate at around 56 cfm, 22 dba when they're really like 32 dba (mine were really loud, not happy), 50 cfm.
