good fan controller to get?

i have been looking around on newegg and frozencpu for a good fan controller. I have two 120mm and two 90mm fans, so 4 total. I have seen a few decent ones, but from past expieriances with general things, i don't impulse buy any more....just wanted to get some ppls opinions on fan controllers that they have and like or ones they have looked at and liked.
 
i am assuming you mean a black tt fan controller?...i am looking at those too, i just wanted to get some people's opinions
 
It also depends on what size drive bay you want to use: 3.5 or 5.25. Anyway, for four fans, I suggest either of these:

3.5" drive bay

or

5.25" drive bay

I personally have the 3.5" black one and I love it. The color blends perfectly with my black thermaltake case and the knobs dont even get in the way of the door on the case. I have all 6 fans in my case hooked up to it(each fan pushes at least 70 cfm, 5 80mm and 1 delta 120mm). Each channel supports 18 watts which is the most I've seen. I higly recommend either of those.

i put one of those in my gf's centurion 5....very nice and simple fan controller.
 
i have a sunbeam rheobus...great controller. can control 4 fans, and gives you the ability to totally turn fans off if need be (for silencing purposes). it's not as flashy as other ones with lcd screens or anything, just 4 simple knobs. one thing to be aware of though, the blue lights indicating more than 7v (they turn red when 7v or under, and blue when > 7v) are EXTREMELY bright, so if you have a front panel it may help block it (not sure what case you have, didn't check your profile) or just disconnect the lights/put electrical tape over them lol. i bought one for pretty cheap off svc i think. i highly recommend it (and it comes in black too, which is a plus since it seems like you have a black case). just my 2 cents...

i've seen several fan controllers at PC shows, and most seem cheap/flimsy... this one is made from a strong aluminum faceplate, and has very nice quality knobs that feel kinda like a volume control knob on a nice stereo...the design is also very plain and uncluttered.
 
It's going to depend partially on the case. For instance, In my old superflower case, I added a superflower fan controller that matched the case perfectly.

Unless you're buying some smart fan-controller that can adjust speeds based on temps, as long as it looks good with your case, it will be just fine. If it has knobs you turn, each knob is just hooked to a variable resistor or potenitometer (sp?).

Some may have temperature and fan-speed readouts as well as alarms that you may want, but they might cost a bit more.
 
thanks guys...i stumbled upon the aerogate watchgate today...and really like it...i noted that with the tt armor little door things...the buttons would be mostly covered up and the lcd would be visible at all times....

what do you think? newegg gave it pretty good reviews....i don;t know if i would utilize all the features....but i never know....

i guess my last question is that i have seen that almost all fan controllers use the three pin input.....i plan on connecting regular case fans.....which have the 4-pin molex connectors....is there an adapter or can i look forward to some wire cutting and re-ending?
 
I thought the standard connector on a fan was three pins. ;)

Anyways I bought this 3.5 controller last week and really like it so far. It seems to handle two 120mm fans and two 80mm fans just fine.
 
check out the zalman fan controller also
its for 4 fan dials, and 2 flip switches between 12, none, and 7. check it out. its VERY high quality and it looks nice with a balck case.
