So, I upgraded the BIOS on my PC which i bought from AVA over a year ago. The update went fine but somehow the boot configuration got corrupted/lost/whatever. After about 2 hours on the phone with tech support, they were able to get me back up and running without having to reinstall the OS or losing any data. It turned out to be a Raptor which was one-half of a mirror where the OS was installed. Funny thing is the Raid Manager didn't show any problems or degraded disks!
They are also replacing my optical drive which is working most of the time, but once in a while has an issue. Nothing I couldn't live with but I just mentioned it in passing and they offered to replace the drive.
I know many people have reported issues with AVA. Heck, people bashed them back when i was researching boutiques for my PC build but I still went with them because most of the reports were good, my sales rep didn't rush me and was knowledgeable, and they had good case selections (I know, I know).
Just thought I would present a perspective from a happy customer.
