It's looking like I'm going to be replacing my trusty craftsman DMM in the near future...after about 3 years of faithful service I'm wanting a DMM that can also do frequency counts, I'm either moving up to the top of the line $175-199 craftsman multimeters or (if money permits) a fluke multimeter.
In the mean time, however, the craftsman works fine save for the banana plugs where the probe wires feed into the bottom of the DMM, which look to be cheap plastic and have broken and frayed the wires, I think the wires will probably detach with little more use/abuse, so I'm in the market for a good pair of wires for my DMM, a set that will last thru this DMM and into the next one.
I'd like a "set" meaning that I want to get 2 pairs (4 probes total) 1 pair with the standard pins for probing, and another pair with fine clips for clipping onto IC legs or other non-SMC electronic components on a board.
Also, DMM recommendations inside of $250 (including used but good shape) would be nice if anyone has any. I was looking at the Craftsman 82325
