I'm looking for a decent sounding card to go with my HK AVR-320 receiver and HTD level 3 5.1 set. My onboard audio has problems with noise when running at a high output level, it forces me to put my reciever to -10db or more (see LOUD!!) in order to be able to turn the computer's output down to get rid of the noise. But when I do this, I cant listen to anything quietly because the output's volume increments dont go very quietly (the jump from nothing to loud). And its a pain in the ass to have to get up to adjust the volume on the receiver.

Is there any cheap card that will let me run straight digital out (coax or S/PDIF doesnt matter)to my receiver without too much cheezy sound processing (SRS bullshit) and without any noise? The noise seems to be based on what the computer is doing at the time, like when I open a program and its processing it makes noise like you can hear the processor working.

I just wanna get rid of the noise
 
If you want digital 5.1 output from games and other non-pre-encoded sources, you need a HDA Mystique. If you can live with 5.1 only from DVDs and other ac3-like things, then an av-710 will be plenty. The price difference is about $100 versus $25.
