When my mom wanted me to build her a new system, I naturally chose that Antec Overture, because of it's looks. Unfortunately, it turns out that it may not quite be the best case when it comes to keeping things cool, especially since she has a 3.4C. To top it off, she keeps it in this enclosed space above her monitor. While this case might run close to sub-zero on the floor in the living room, put it in there and temperatures climb quite rapidly.

So, my question to you, what is a good desktop-style ATX case with good cooling?

I can't reccomend a case for you, but it sounds like you don't have much of a budget on the case... so that case may be the best thing for you, with a few modifications to the case and the desk

First off, no case is going to keep a computer cool in an enclosed space with no airflow. period.

I would convince her of that and see if you could cut a 120mm intake in the door of the cabinet and have that blowing into the case and another blowing out (ducting would be even better, but would look bad)

Yup yup. Grab the dremel or saw and tell her to get the heck out of the way.

Btw, a 3.4C is damn nice for mommy. I'm jealous!
