On Craigslist two computers - Lenovo Thinkstation workstation PCs with Intel Xeon E3-1230 processor, 150 GB raptor drive, 16 GB DDR3 ECC RAM, and an Nvidia Quadro 600 graphics card. Both for $400.

Depends on what you want to use them for.

The GPU in them is a low end CAD card.

The CPU should be fast enough for gaming provided you wanted to upgrade the video card and possibly replace the power supply with a new one.

You would also want a larger drive.

You will be somewhat limited by the RAM speed in certain games/programs.

It is probably an OK price, but not really a HOT deal as you would need to replace some parts in order to make them useful for gaming.

Definitely better than anything you could buy new for $200 each though.

Yeah, that card isn't even a "CAD" card. It's just an underclocked re-badged GT 440 overpriced for idiot purchasing managers. The GT 440 was a POS when it was released. You'll definitely need a new card to do anything aside from general desktop use/office/1080p video decode.
