Good CPU upgrade for my 680I SLI SE?

currently have a Core 2 Duo E4400 running at stcok(i dont OC). I would would like to upgrade my CPU sooner or later but to which one? I am thinking a Q6600. I only game and go on the internet, i dont have the new BIOS with support for 45nm and i dont want it. So whats a good CPU to get?


Also, i am not going to reinstall Windows or anything so hopefully it works fine. Btw the ''SE'' 680I cannot OC Quad Cores.(but i dont want to anyways)

I would say more then likely if the bios supports it a 8400 or 8500. I wouldn't go with a quad with that board. BTW which brand 680i do you own??

I own a Evga 680i SLI SE motherboard(not the ''LT'' brand). The one that is not good at OCing Quad cores. But i don't want to OC so thats no problem. Also my BIOS doesnt support the 45nm CPUs, but i dont want the BIOS update.
