Good cooler for my 2700?

My xp2700+ won't run stable at 166x13 because the amd fan/heatsink aren't enough to keep it cool I believe. I can only run my pc stable on heavy load at 164x13 and even then I'm hitting 48°-50°C. I'm pretty sure it's just overheating. I do plan to overclock a little, maybe just to get to 2.2ghz.

What CPU heatsink/fan should I get?
 
well what heatsink are you using now? it may just be the thermal paste job. if ur lookin for a new one i like the thermaltake volcano 11+ or 12 (i use 12 it cools like a dream) and the coolermaster jet 7.
 
I was looking around and found some nice ones. I like ThermalTake and Coolmaster. I think I'm going to go with a ThermalTake Volcano 9, 10, 11, or 12... or the silent boost.

Which is the best for the money? /will do the job I'm asking...
 
Thanks for the advice. I think I will go ahead with the silent boost. Seems quiet but still puts out a lot of performance.
 
I had the Volcano 9+ and it was VERY loud, but performed very crapily considering the noise....
 
I bought the silent boost today. Should be here in a couple days and we'll see how things go from here...
 
i have a TT silent boost, 2600+ @2.31 w/ 1.8 volts
load is 46-50 C (temp changes as day progresses)
