anyone have any suggestions?

I've found
http://www.svc.com/thblhipeledc.html
and
http://www.svc.com/tlr-s82-ep.html

just looking at the numbers, the obvious choice would be the Thermaltake....

but I haven't heard good things about their case fans. I'm somewhat inclined to go with the Cooler Master...

Anyone have any experience with these?

or other suggestions? LEDs are not necessary, but if it does have LEDs, they must be blue or purple.

Thanks.

the coolermaster fans run about the same volume as the panaflo L, and the leds are easy enough to clip and render non-op.

you might also look at the enermax adjustables, they had the clearest blades of any fan i tried but the framework is colored. it still looked good on my swiftech hsf tho back in the day

how was the noise on the enermax compared to coolermaster or panaflo? Even at their lowest RPM, the rating on svc lists 26.5 dBA...

i know they were slightly louder than the panaflo but i haven't used it since long before i got the coolermaster. i don't think the noise is much more noticable than the panaflo if you undervolt the coolermaster but there was a bearing noise that the panaflo does not have. but, with the enermax you can undervolt and then use the adjustable thing to slow it down even more, so it's a matter of taste.

that's all in reference to the 80mm version of those fans.

i'd like to find a company that makes completely clear (not that frosted look) fans but i haven't found any good ones.

First off, ignore the dBa ratings that retailers post. It's NEVER accurate.

If you're looking to reduce fan noise, you need a fan controller. With a controller you can tweak fans so that they are exactly as loud/quiet as you want them to be. dBa ratings be damned, it's what you hear when they are sitting right next to you that matters.
