I posted on here the other week to recommend a video card. I didn't want to spend a lot, and at the time I was looking to get a 9600GSO. Most people recommended I get the 4670. I ended up getting a 384mb 8800GS from someone for $45 to replace an x1800xt. Was it a good choice (performance vs. price vs. the alternatives)?

So basically you got what you initially wanted?
a 8800 GS or a 8800 GTS?
8800GS
Keep in mind this was for a secondary (my son's) PC. The 3 goals were to a.) put a better card in his PC than the x1800xt, whether marginally or by far; b.) replace a 6600GT with the x1800xt on the # 3 PC; c.) do this at relatively low cost.
