I have about $50 and I was wondering if I could get a good wireless mouse/keyboard combo?

If possible, the power consumption should be either long lasting, or rechargable.

If that isn't in my price range, how much do I have to spend to get the one I need?

Just $20 more (and a lil' for shipping) you can get the sweet Logitech MX Duo. Check it out. You can get cheaper wireless setups, but the MX is ah verra nice!

Er, it's what I have, anyway, and I can't imagine ever wanting something different. Call me narrow-minded. :p

I heard of those. They say that they're the best ones for the money right?

If its for the best, then I guess I can wait until I get the cash and get that combo.

But on newegg, a reviewer said that the response lagged when he typed fast. I'm also a fast typer, and I don't want anything to slow down when I'm doing a report.

And what about the rechargables? I saw an alkaline battery in the package, but there was a mouse recharger. How long do the batteries last, and does the mouse charger charge the batteries fast?

Ok, I wanted to wait out for the MX1000 and have the ultra bling and newest mouse. Instead I bought the MX Duo. Absolutely love it. So many shortcuts on the keyboard, and the mouse looks and feels awesome. I have never seen a better combo. It's freakin awesome, I don't know why someone wouldn't get it. :D

Naw. He prolly had the receiver right next to his whirring computer or his blasting speakers.

There is a slight lag, naturally, but you get used to it. I noticed it as soon as I started using the keyboard, but what's the big deal? As long as the letters appear, right? Chances are you're gonna have lag with any wireless keyboard.

It isn't like a sub-386 playing Doom. It's only noticeable at first. You get very used to it. Having one less cord (or two with the duo) is quite worth it. And I can swivel in my chair, put my keyboard in my lap, put up my feet, and watch TV and chat and do whatever.
