Anyone have any info on what would be a good 2.1 set (will be mainly used for watching movies)? I had originaly planned on getting the Z-5500 but was turned off by the idea of having a subwoofer that is accompanied by a warning sitting anywhere near my pc and monitor (even if its placed 2 or more feet away). Anyways, I have been surfing newegg and came across the Logitech z-2300. I'm interested in knowing wether these offer great sound given their 200watt rating and if the sub is...well "dangerous". Also the z-5300e set is a little more, how do they compare to one another?

Get the Z-5500's, the warning about the sub is hit and miss its not a problem....and to compare any other 2.1 or a smaller system to the z-5500's theres no comparison.....get it for the price you wont be dissapointed at all and if you get anything else you will have wished you got the 5500's to start off with.

Well the thing is that I went with Sennheiser HD 595s instead of the Z-5500s and am just looking for a powewrful little spearker set.

The Z-5300s are the 5.1 version of the Z-2300s. Definitely go for the 5.1 set if you're on the fence.
