Ok Its come down to getting a Good 19" LCD or a 20" DELL 2001FP

Its gonna be soon my system specs are listed below.

I like alot of desktop room and alot of eye candy in games, I can sacrafice a little but the lowest would be 2x/4x but rarely never it would most likely be 8x 16x :D

How well does the dell show other resolutions like 1280x1024?

Most likely this 19" http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-014-063&depa=1

8X? 16X? Cryptologists please. Do you mean AF or AA????

Edit: Ok I see your specs in your profile (not below). You can run the Dell native at 1600X1200 with no problem.....and same with just about all games with your video card and CPU. Dell shows games great at 1280 and with your specs there is no need to go below that.

U need to turn on sigs in ur profile to see his specs under the post. As for 2001fp, well yeah, it'll be a flood :D

Personally, Id say if your a gamer to stay away from the FP931. I purchased one based on all the rave reviews it has recieved pretty much everywhere, and I must say, the ghosting on this monitor is what I would classify as severe.

I dont know, perhaps I am more susceptible to the ghosting than others, but I dont see how this monitor got so many reviews stating no ghosting.

Its the only LCD I have experience with, so I cant comment on the ghosting on any others.

Now, with that being said, it is tolerable. I play games on this monitor everyday, so its not enough to deter someone, but it is quite severe.

I've never seen one, but going off the reviews it's supposed to be an excellent LCD for gaming. I hope so anyway. I'm deciding between that and the 2405. Not sure how I feel about widescreen right now.

Have you checked out the L90D+?

I just got one today and after some messing around with contrast and brightness controls, it's turning out to be one hell of a monitor. :D It's the first LCD i've gamed on, but compared to CRT's, i truly can't tell the difference. I've tried Everquest 2, and CS:S so far. NFSU2 and some others to come.

Your computer could handle 1600x1200 in most games so if i were you, i'd go for the 2001FP if you have the money.

I've looked at the L90D but I watch movies sometimes off my computer and want a nice DVD quality too.

DVD quality is alright for the most part. Its just that the viewing angles aren't that great. It will be that way with any TN+Film panel and ghosting will be more of an issue in LCD's that use PVA or IPS panels. The Dell 2001FP uses an S-IPS panel and is about the the best option if you want the best all around LCD but it will ghost more then the Hyundai L90D+ 8ms LCD.
