Ok here we go.

What ? A program named GOMAC

This program creates a windowzish tray with start button etc in os 9.0 thru 9.2.2 (Thats what I have but it works with earlier versions)


Where ?

On Ibook 366, (2) IMac 233's and an imac 266

The Problem

I just came into contact with these four machines and am learning mac operating systems.

I have upgraded all 4 from 9.0 to 9.2.2 The problem is the tray stopped working on 3 machines.

I was forced to click clean install button on the Ibook after a firm ware up grade.

The normal install also didnt work on 2 of the imacs.

On the third machine one of the 233's I was able to do the upgrade with out resorting to the clean Install procedure. The tray still works on that machine.

The program Icon is in the applications folder but when I click on it I get a "the program was not installed please reboot" message.

After reboot and clicking on the Icon I get the opportunity to go to the program web site and purchase the program ? I shouldn't have to purchase something I already have.

How do I make this prograam work again as the users are unhappy with losing their Tray and start buttons. They are not interested in BUY on these old machines

Any Help will be greatly appreciated
