As you guys might have noticed but newegg has recently gotten 80 PLUS SILVER and Bronze rated power supplies. Now I know what the difference is between the efficiency ratings between the 4. (80 Plus, Bronze, Silver, & Gold).

What I would like to know is how this translates into real world usage. It would be cool if the [H] could start doing tests on these newer power supplies.

So Kyle, could please get a few Enermaxs and CoolerMasters and test them for me?

Please?

It's an independent rating system for PSU efficiency. The different awards mean that the PSU is capable of maintaining a minimum efficiency level.

The website explains it better.

The higher efficiency, the less wasted power. That's it in a nutshell. Every PSU wastes some power while converting to DC, but the higher efficiency, the less power the PSU has to draw from the wall in order to maintain a given DC output.

Enermax yes, CoolerMaster has seemingly fallen into the blackhole of Calcutta.
