hey everyone, ive been browsing these fourms for a while now and im finally getting around to posting something. i have decided to watercool my P4 3.0Ghz system. ive always wanted to watercool my computer, and now im finally getting around to doing it. i have a good ammount of money from graduation, and i get decent paychecks each week so i have some cash for this. im willing to spend $250-$300 on this setup. i am going to cool the cpu and my video card. i have a p4 3.0Ghz and an ASUS Radeon 9600XT video card. i was thinking about cooling the chipset, but it dosent need much cooling and is just a waste of money for me. heres the list

Danger Den TDX Intel Socket 478 - 1/2" ID
DangerDen MAZE4 GPU - 1/2" ID
Swiftech MCP600 12v Pump
8ft. Standard PVC 1/2" ID Tubing
Black Ice Xtreme 120mm Single Fan rad OR Dtek ProCore
Blue UV Single 5.25" res
Enermax Blue 120mm Fan w/ Speed Control
all the necessacary hose clamps, fittings, connectors, etc.

ill be mixing regular antifreeze in to the water for better cooling and a nicer look. i know that heatercores preform better than that rad, but i cannot fit it in my case. its too big to fit in my case. i have to mount the rad on the top of the case as it is because i have no room on the bottom, i have too many hard drives and pci cards, and also i need room for the pump so it wont fit well. i know thats not the optimal place, but thats all i can do. if you guys could tell me how good this setup looks, and suggest any changes that would be awesome. thanks alot

Get rid of the BIX and go with the heater core. Your performance will be much better. Even better, go with the "dual" heater core. Be sure to get a shroud or make one.

Yeah, you'll get better performance out of the pro-core than you will the BIX. You also might want to consider Swiftec's new block, the MCW-6002. Either will do you fine though. :)

Looks like its going to be a great setup!

I agree that block is the best bang for the buck

Skip the BIX and get a heater core, there has been definite performance increases.
