i think im going to buy another maxtor 7200rpm SATA 80GB hardrive today and RAID them together. what do i have to do to set it up as RAID. or does it do it automatically when pressing F6 i beleive in windows installation.

If your board supports RAID, then you will have to use the RAID setup when your motherboard boots. On the NF7-S you press Ctrl-H to enter the setup screen. You create a stripe across the drives. You will loose all your data when you do this. Once you have created the stripe, when you load up your OS press F6 to select a 3rd party raid driver. Insert floppy containing said driver and windows will then detect the RAIDed discs. Install as usual.

P.S. this is the quick and dirty explination. Just got home from an 11 hour overnight shift. Sorry if I forgot anything :D

I am not sure with the ASUS board. You will need to consult your manual about that.
