Going from nvidia to ati

no offense, but just reinstall windows, whats the big deal.

but yes drivercleaner is your best bet.

I just went from a nvidia to ATI card with no problems and no reinstallation of windows.

A couple steps it isn't too hard. Just need to uninstall your nvidia drivers from the control panel. Reboot into safe mode and run driver cleaner. Then reboot back into windows with your ati card and install the new drivers.
 
I agree with the clean install, it wont take that much time and leaves at a side the risk of having colateral* problems of not doing so.

* agp disabled, bad performance, etc

I made the jump tuesday night... it was a long leap, and i didn't make it..

my install of XP pro went down the shitter in a very bad bad way... format and reinstall later (couldn't just repair i had to format the OS partion) i was back up and running

thank god i forsaw the issue and backed up my docs, fav's, and other things that were on the 5 gig partion :)
