i got my acer aspire 1662 saturday, and so far im very pleased. here are the specs on the unit...
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with HT Technology
512MB (256/256)
60GB hard drive
DVD-Dual drive (DVD+/-RW)
TFT Display 15.4" WXGA (1280 x 800)
ATI® MOBILITYTM RADEONTM 9700, 64MB DDR
802.11b/g WLAN, 10/100LAN, V.92 modem
the quality seems high and ive had no problems so far. the layout is no frills, but solid and to the point and i like that. i have overclocked the mobility 9700 from 390/202 to 450/250 and it runs great at that speed. i played some nhl 2005 @ full details 1024x768 and it is very smooth. im going to put on some more games now and test them out...
for $1250 this laptop is a great buy! i couldnt find anything in the same price range to rival it. the 9700 mobility sets it apart from other good laptops under $1500...
