Can a pro help me out here
i just got a new laptop. 2.7 Ghz, 2 G ram, XP, Intel GMA X3100 video card( i heard it sucks bad)
will i be able to run Counter Strike Source? or Warrock if anyone know the game.
thanks
is this card better than Navidia Geforce Go 5200?

IIRC it's 2x as fast as the 6150, so I'd assume it's faster than the 6200, but I don't recall ever seeing a benchmark with the 5200.

I take back what I previously posted. As of October, Intel has an official driver for Vista that supports hardware T&L and Vertex Shader 3.0. It only took those fuckers over a year after the 965G was released before they had support for ALL the features. Performance and compatibility are finally good enough for most games.

See here for a set of benchmarks:

I would put the performance at about that of a Radeon 9600 Pro / GeForce 6200, more or less depending on how fast your memory is. Note that, according to this thread, people have been having more issues with these newest drivers and the GMA X3100 than with the desktop version (GMA X3000).
