GKX or GMH

GKX is a 2.5ns chip and the GMH is a 3ns chip. They're both B6 die, but depending on the date they were made the GMH (at least in our testing here) is the better one.

B6 die.. revD silicon ;)

and it really comes down to binning. out of micron's fab, GKX is 400mhz, cas5, GMH is 333mhz, cas5, however, micron may put some better chips into the GMH bin to satisfy demand :p

GKX will generally be better..... I wonder how they compare on handpicked sticks

If the ICs were individually screened at the IC level in addition to DIMM screening after assembly, you would have an exceptional DIMM. GKX screened in this manner (we screen every IC we build our XMS with at the IC level, not just spot screening or DIMM screening) is VERY fast and will do well at low latencies, high speeds, or a good combination of both.
