1) What will you be doing with this PC?
This pc is for web browsing Only there and facebook games.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
CPU and Memory + PSU

Ok guys i cut this in half just because i already have the board. I jus need to make sure the parts will Work 100% in the board. Now all my girlfriend does is play facebook games and browse the net. Nothing more. No gaming, overclocking or anything..

I need to keep this shipped under 150 bucks. I already have the board like i said. The board has onboard Graphics wich will run what she needs perfectly fine.

My suggestion is you fill-out the sticky correctly next time.

CPU and Memory

But these are the parts you are buying:
CPU + Memory + PSU

And it's not clear from your post that you're buying those three things. If I didn't add-up the costs to reach your total, I never would have known.

But I can't find a combo that's cheaper. That build is fine.

If you want to squeeze-in 2GB memory, you could downgrade to a Sempron 2.7 GHz here:

$33 Free Shipping AMD Sempron 140 Sargas 2.7GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 45W Single-Core Processor - Retail
$57 Free Shipping Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

Your call. Do you want dual-core, or more ram? If you're running Windows 7 (I WOULD KNOW THAT IF YOU FILLED-OUT THE WHOLE STICKY), you might want the extra ram.

would 2gb of ram be needed? shes running windows xp if so then yeah id skimp to a single core with 2gb of ram

Well, I ask because my OS X system (used only for music and browsing) has only 1GB memory, and it's a tight fit just browsing the net with all the rich media sites. But that's because OS X is a memory hog.

Windows 7 also has high memory requirements, and was really built for 2GB. You can get-by with 1GB, but it won't always be smooth.

You can do Windows XP just fine with 1GB ram...so, which OS are you going to use? Your sentence above is not crystal-clear:

shes running windows xp if so then yeah id skimp to a single core with 2gb of ram

shes running windows xp 32 bit

so here are the builds

Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W
Kingston 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
AMD Sempron 140 Sargas 2.7GHz Socket AM3 45W

Grand Total: $138.96

Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W
Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)
AMD Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz Socket AM3 65W

Grand Total: $139.46

also should i stick with the antec PSU or may grab this. was thinking that this pc isnt doing anyhthing power full at all i could save on a psu

If you need a cheap low-rated PSU, don't buy crap, buy a lower-rated supply from a reputable company! Although the big OEMs don't bother to sell them, Seasonic makes supplies down to the 300w range.

This one is only $45 with shipping. It's also 80plus certified, so it will run quiet. Not as cheap as that ThermalTake, but cheaper than the Earthwatts.

Also, if it's XP, I'd probably go dual-core. Or you could splurge $25 extra, and do both :D

i think im going to stick with the first build. the dualcore with 1gb of ram. if needed ill add another gb myself from my budget.

If that motherboard unlocks cores, you do know the Sempron is reportably unlockable.

well what if the sempron isnt unlockable. would is still be good for browsing with single core?
the board can unlock cores. it unlocked the 4th core on my 720.
