ok i'm running klipsch 5.1's off of onboard sound with an abit nf7-s card.

most of the time, my right rear speaker doesn't output anything when i play movies through windows media player. every now and then it comes back, but i don't know why or what causes it.

i've hooked the physical speaker into the leads for another position, (left rear) and it plays just fine, so i'm pretty sure the hardware is fine. i'm just trying to figure out what might be causing this.

appreciate the help guys.

Bad jack conenction? Bad wire?

What was it?

the colors on the sound card didn't correspond to the color of the jacks, and i couldn't read the icons to see which was what.
