GIigabyte 3D Aurora

where would I buy one? I've read good reviews of the thing. But I could never find an online retailer who sold it.

Search this very forum! There's a gallery, mod logs, comments...

Froogle or PriceGrabber for finding retailers. Google is your friend.

Yeah.. I got the case a few weeks ago and half way building my new pc.

I was gonna get the black version custom paint the case (like the Dell monster case with flames etc)... but figured the likelihood of getting time to do it was pretty slim, so I thought the silver one would look better as stock and also wondered wether a black case would be warmer than a silver one because black attracts heat.

Anyway, the case looks great and suprisingly light.. mostly aluminuim.

A couple things you gotta consider. Becuase of the locking mechanism in the drive bays, if you have anything that requires screws (like my Aerocool fan controller), you gotta be prepared to skillfully drill some holes after removing some of the clips.

Some on the forums have had issues putting in thier PSU and had to unscrew a crossbar in the case. Not a problem really, but I got my Enermax Liberty 620 in without having to remove anything.

Cables are very nicely managed in the case.

The Fans are extremely quiet, I can hardly hear them even up close with the side open.

I'm very happy with the case :)

Funny thing is, I just searched this forum, and only got one result. Three guesses which thread turned up in the results.

Edit: D'Oh... I feel like a tard. No wonder only one result turned up GIigabyte 3D Aurora

good case, lots of room, you can fit a 2x 120mm rad on the inside of the case. fans spin very slowly so you will want to swap out at least the intake fan. also get the case with the mesh on the side panel, not the window. i had no prob installing my psu. all of the "tool -less" features work fine. the front panel/usb ports are in an odd place (the right side of the case near the front bottom.) and the door opens to the left. ?.

Someone at a lan i hosted had one of these suckers, it was the biggest case brought. my first impression was that it looks sweet, and also that watercooling would be a definate go in this thing
