Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5 Boot Problems

I'm having a problem with a freshly build system. I'm using a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5 MB with a I7-2600K processor and aa Intel 120GB SSD drive. Windows Vista install perfectly and when I install all the drivers that came with the board, I reboot and windows does not boot. Keeps telling me BOOTMGR is missing. I looked around and can't find anything about it or what is causing it. This is driving me nuts as I re-installed the system 4 times already.

Does anything have a clue to fix this?
 
Make sure your SSD is selected as a main boot drive, also what mode did you set before installing Windows in BIOS? did you setup AHCI?
 
Where do I set the SSD as main boot drive on the bios? I don't see that anywhere on the bios. As for AHCI, it's set to auto. Anywhre on the bios I can se that since I don't see that at all on the bios ether.

Edit:
As for AHCI, it was set as IDE. Should I set it to AHCI and reinstall?
 
You can try, but it doesent mean thats the issue...i think your problem is boot order, make sure you select your SSD as primary boot disk.
 
Bro, look for something like bootup,bootorder, or sata configuration in your BIOS. You must select your SSD as a primary bootup drive. It should be like "Hard disk boot priority" entry in BIOS.
 
It was set that way. Figured the problem out, it was a bad SSD. Took it back and got a replacement, works perfectly now.
