I have my 6 month old R9 290 and I was getting random black screens at the desktop.
Tried it on 2 different PC's and then took it to work and tried on 3...same issues, would just black screen randomly.
Sent it in for an RMA with a full clear description of what was happening and the configs of 3 PC's tested on. On the same day they received it they updated the status to "No fault found"...hmmm, was worried but gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Had to call them and find out when it was shipping back to me as the status was "Awaiting shipping", overall took 6 weeks. Get it back, put it int he PC and low and behold..the exact same issue. Tried on another PC...same thing again. My works IT guy tried it...same thing.
Resubmit for RMA, got approval and this time an even more detailed description of fault.....and again..on the date it was received at Gigabyte the status is "No fault found". And now I await it coming back to me once again and I have little faith it will work
Anyone else have a similar experience?.
