Hey Guys saw this deal over at cyberpowerpc:

VenomX GIGABYTE P25X2 Gaming Laptop
880m GTX, 4710mq i7, 8gb ddr3, 1tb hdd, 15.6" 1080p (Not sure if TN or IPS), and Intel AC Wireless for $1099
but you can configure the laptop
+0 Free Gskill Memory(easier to match later I suppose)
-60 no OS
+6 CM Storm Devastator Mouse Keyboard combo
+0 Free AZZA Optical Mouse
Here
Total $1045 - 5% coupon (SPRING0410) = $992 with free 3 Day UPS

Not bad considering you are getting a GTX 880M GPU witch looks to be on par with the 970m. Cons might be that this is a 6lb laptop with a 180w power brick. I think this would smash the equivalent 860m gtx laptops out there floating around the 900$ range like the Acer v15 Nitro, or the HP Omen 15.

Additionally the laptop has room for 1 2.5" drive and 2 MSATA if you wanted to upgrade it later.

Decent price but just smh at no SSD at a grand. Still decent specs otherwise.

Yes I am pretty sure the 880m is Kepler and not Maxwell but you are getting 1536 Cuda cores vs 1280 on the 970, as a result more wattage is required benchmarks look pretty close between the two. In reality if you could find a quad core broadwell/skylake (not out yet) and a 970m in say a MSI GS60 chassis for even close to $1k that would rock :)

That's a great deal. The 880m/780m is still a heck of a GPU, when oc'ed a bit about on par with a desktop GTX 680 (it's the same chip, in fact).

Well you can choose an entry level sad for $4 extra, and even a Kingston 240GB is only $10 extra

I just looked on mobile that Kingston line is in a font that's like 1/10th the size of the rest. Good deal then.

Nah; most laptops in this range have mechanical drives and an 860m. Another poster said you can add an SDD for $4 - $10, so thats a no brainer.
